Botulinum Toxin injections are primarily used in aesthetics to relax facial muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, but it has many uses. It can be used to treat the following areas: forehead, frown lines, wrinkles around the eyes (often referred to as 'crows feet'), nose wrinkles ("bunny lines") and nose tip-lift. Other, more advanced areas include, jaw masseter (to help with teeth grinding and jaw clenching, or to slim the face, resulting in a less 'square' appearance), perioral (lip) lines, gummy smile, lip-flip, 'downturned smile', neck/jowls (by treating the platysmal band muscle), and excessive sweating.

-Underarm sweating.Results can sometimes be seen from as little as 48 hours, but it takes 2 weeks to see the full results.
Duration can vary for each person but generally results will last between 3-6 months. *For underarm sweating - effects of sweat reduction can sometimes last up to 18 months.
There is a minimum of 3 months between full botulinum toxin treatments. However, an adjustment dose can be carried out between 2-4 weeks post treatment if needed.
Treatment is generally very comfortable. The needles used are very fine, and any discomfort is minimal. A topical numbing cream can also be applied beforehand if needed.
Side effects are generally mild and short-lived. You may notice slight redness, swelling, tenderness, or tiny bruises around the injection sites, which usually settle within a few days. Your practitioner will discuss any other potential side-effects or risks with you.

There is minimal downtime with botulinum toxin treatment. Most people return to their normal activities immediately, though it’s recommended to avoid rubbing the treated areas, laying down or excessive bending for 4-6 hours, and no strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours. All aftercare will be discussed with you at your consultation.
