Botulinum Toxin injections are primarily used in aesthetics to relax facial muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, but it has many uses. It can be used to treat the following areas: forehead, frown lines, wrinkles around the eyes (often referred to as 'crows feet'), nose wrinkles ("bunny lines") and nose tip-lift. Other, more advanced areas include, jaw masseter (to help with teeth grinding and jaw clenching, or to slim the face, resulting in a less 'square' appearance), perioral (lip) lines, gummy smile, lip-flip, 'downturned smile', neck/jowls (by treating the platysmal band muscle), and excessive sweating.

Duration can vary for each person but generally results will last between 3-6 months.
There is a minimum of 3 months between toxin treatments. Generally patients will return around 4-6 months for further treatments.
Treatment is generally very comfortable. The needles used are very fine, and any discomfort is minimal. A topical numbing cream can also be applied beforehand if needed.
Side effects are generally mild and short-lived. You may notice slight redness, swelling, tenderness, or tiny bruises around the injection sites, which usually settle within a few days. Your practitioner will discuss any other potential side-effects or risks with you.
At Adorn we believe aesthetics treatments should look natural. Toxin treatments can provide a subtle, youthful result whilst still appearing natural.
There is little to no downtime with anti-wrinkle treatments. Most people return to their normal activities immediately, though it’s recommended to avoid rubbing the treated areas, applying heavy pressure, or doing strenuous exercise for the rest of the day to ensure optimal results. Aftercare will be discussed with you at your consultation.
