Polynucleotides are naturally occuring molecules composed or long chains of nucleotides, which are the building blocks of DNA and RNA. At Adorn, we use Plinest® and Vitaran, which are made with purified DNA (derived from trout sperm!) Polynucleotides act as bio stimulators, encouraging skin to heal, regenerate and become firmer over time. Both Plinest® and Vitaran are trusted products by many professionals, and supported by clinical research.
The treatment has multiple benefits, including stimulating fibroblasts in our skin (to aid with collagen production), improving tissue firmness, enhancing hydration and repairing the skin at a cellular level. It also has anti-inflammatory properties! It is incredible at restoring skin structure, supporting tissue regeneration, and promoting a healthier, more radiant completion. Plinest® and Vitaran can be used on the face, neck, under-eye area, décolletage, and hands. They’re especially effective for fragile or ageing skin, areas with fine lines, loss of elasticity, or where skin needs repair rather than volume.
Results appear gradually. Many patients notice improved hydration and skin quality within 2–4 weeks, with continued improvement in firmness, texture, and elasticity over the following months as collagen production increases.
Results typically last between 6–12 months. A course of treatments is usually recommended initially, followed by maintenance sessions to sustain long-term skin regeneration and quality.
Discomfort is minimal. Very fine needles are used, and a topical numbing cream is applied prior. Most patients describe the sensation as mild and very manageable.
