DERMAL FILLER
Dermal filler is an injectable gel-like solution containing cross-linked hyaluronic acid, that is placed into the soft tissue in the skin. It can help with restoring or adding volume, profile balancing, facial harmonisation and symmetry, and hydration to minimise fine lines.

BENEFITS OF DERMAL FILLERS
-
Restores lost volume: Addressing cheeks, temples, and under-eyes.
-
Creating facial harmonisation and symmetry: Addressing areas such as, lips, jawline, cheeks, chin and nose and create facial balance.
-
Provides immediate results: See noticeable improvements right after the treatment.
-
Minimally invasive with little downtime: Return to your daily activities 24-48 hours after treatment.
-
What areas can be treated with dermal filler?Dermal filler is commonly used to enhance or restore volume, and create symmetry and facial balance to areas such as lips, cheeks, chin and jaw. It can be used to fill hollowing under the eyes, which can cause dark circles or a 'sunken' appearance. A very popular treatment at Adorn is nose reshaping (often referred to as "non-surgical rhinoplasty"). Please get in touch if you are unsure which area you would like treated, or book a free consultation via our booking page.
-
How quickly will I see results? Results can usually be seen immediately. However, you may experience some swelling or bruising for a couple of weeks after treatment. Final results will be seen once this subsides.
-
How long do results last? The longevity of dermal filler depends on many factors. This includes which area is being treated, the brand and type of filler being used, and individual metabolism and lifestyle. At Adorn we typically use Teosyal (Teoxane), which contains a high amount of cross-linked hyaluronic acid, and is a lovely, smooth filler that moves well with the skin tissues.
-
Does the treatment hurt? Some patients report mild discomfort when having dermal filler treatments, and some say it doesn't hurt at all. This will depend on the pain tolerance of each individual. We apply numbing cream prior to treatment and provide stress balls for you to squeeze!
-
Are there any side effects? Most people find that the injections cause only mild local pain and tenderness. There may be swelling in and around the treated area, which is generally present for up to 2 weeks. Occasionally swelling can last longer, depending on the area treated and how quickly your body heals. Bruising is also possible. All other potential side effects or complications will be discussed with you prior to treatment.
-
Will my results look natural?Sarah takes a holistic approach with all of her work, and will always aim to achieve natural subtle results. Each treatment is tailored to your individual goals and desired results, however we believe education is key and we will not carry out a treatment which we do not think will benefit you!
